Flights Through Darkness (2016)
107 min | Singapore | English
Synopsis
Credits
A night of torrid sex lead Bryan, an embittered advertising executive and Daphne, a wealthy socialite lawyer into a series of conversations.
Shot as a non-narrative film, bereft of any plot, it is life in real time. The raw sexuality mirrors the brutality they strip each other down, following the lifecycle of how they became who they are.
Beyond the lurid sex, out came the dirty secrets, insecurities, and darkness that no one talks about in an affluent Singapore. What is the price of this unrelenting economic development that places results, money, affluence and reputation above everything? They confront themselves and in so doing confronts the country’s existence.
